Q: Which song should we choose?
A: Choose a song that has meaning for you. However, if you would like help choosing your song, I will make suggestions and help you to be well prepared on your wedding dance.
Q: How far in advance should we begin our lessons?
A: Plan to begin your lessons 3 months prior to your wedding day. This will allow you plenty of time to practice. Many couples put dance lessons off until the last possible moment. This can cause a lot of stress over something that should be really enjoyable!
Q: If we did wait until the last minute, what should we do?
A: Give me a call at 214-228-4454 and we'll see what we can work out.
Q: What should I wear to my lesson?
A: Make sure to wear comfortable clothes that are cool and move easily.
Q: Do I need special shoes?
A: Wear comfortable, low shoes that will have just a bit of slide on a wood floor. Don't wear flip-flops or mules; these types of shoes can come off your feet and be difficult to move in. As well, tennis shoes can be sticky on dance floors. As you progress, the bride may want to switch to shoes with heels that are close to the height of her wedding day shoes. A change in heel height can provide an extra challenge. (NOTE TO THE BRIDE: Don't practice in your actual wedding day shoes, especially if they are white. You may scuff and smudge them accidentally.)
